GENERAL APPLICATION INFORMATION PLASTERER APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM 1.  It is a four (4) year apprenticeship program. 2. You begin the program at 50% of journeyperson rate. Rate may be higher  depending on past experience credited 3. You become an active apprentice when an employer hires you. It is both on-the job training and related classroom training.  School for  the San Jose Apprenticeship is located at 41509 Albre Street and  Stevenson Blvd, Fremont, CA 94538 and the Sacramento Apprenticeship is located at 1555 Overland Court, West Sacramento, CA 95691. Classes are in  session from September through May of each year and held the first two Saturdays  of each month from 8:00a.m. to 4:30 p.m. These classes are mandatory unless  otherwise notified. 4. Fresno Apprenticeship School is located at the Central Learning Adult School Site,  2698 N. Brawley, Fresno, CA 93722. School is held September through May of each  year and classes are held the first and third Saturday of the month from 8:00 a.m.  to 4:30 p.m.  Classes are mandatory unless otherwise notified. 5. The "Letter of Subscription" enables you, the application to solicit your own work as  a Plasterer Apprentice. If you find a signatory employer willing to hire you, you  must have the employer complete and sign the "Letter of Subscription". Bring the  "Letter of Subscription" back to the Union Hall in the area in which you filled out  your application in order to complete your apprenticeship paperwork and receive a  Blue Book and a dispatch to begin work. 6. You may not to working until you have to complete all the apprenticeship  paperwork and are dispatch from the Union Hall in your area.
